"Not only do I feel more graceful...I’m also getting a more relaxed spine, some old injuries have been clearing up, and I have a deeper appreciation of what it looks like to push my body, and to respect it an equal measure.

Because of that the results are coming in so much faster than any other routine I’ve ever done."

Questions and booking inquiries:

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a mind-body movement practice. Created in the early 1920's by Joseph Pilates, after whom it was named. Pilates was originally known as "Contrologoy" - the study of controlling the mind and body to optimize fitness.

Pilates brings together the principles of concentration, control, centering, fluidity of movement, precision and breathing to support total body wellbeing and health.

I'm new to Pilates, is this too advanced for me?

Nope, Pilates can serve the most beginner to the most advanced. It is designed to meet you exactly where you're at. Private sessions are perfect for the person who is new to fitness and can help you build a strong and lasting foundation

What if I'm not flexible?

Pilates supports strength and mobility in bodies ranging from the super stiff to hypermobile. It is designed to bring the body into it's most peak level of fitness

I mostly see women doing Pilates, is for men too?

YES! Pilates was originally created to support boxers and gymnasts. Pilates focuses on strengthening the muscles that support the spine to increase strength, mobility and longevity.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Our studio includes a reformer, ladder barrel and tower...if you know, you know and if you don't know yet, we can't wait to show you.

Meet Yonatan

Drawing on my lifelong passion for music, I've always related to the idea of the body as a finely tuned instrument. As a professional upright bassist and singer with over 30 years of experience, my musical journey has spanned genres from Jazz to Rock, and Blues, leading me to stages around the world.

However, in 2016, my rhythm was disrupted by a severe rotator cuff injury during a CrossFit session, which threatened to halt my active lifestyle.

But life, much like music, has a way of finding it's rhythm again. I discovered Pilates, and not only did it allow me to regain my physical strength, rehabilitating my shoulder without the need for surgery, it also offered me a new perspective. I realized that our bodies aren't just instruments, they are entire orchestras where the mind, body, and spirit perform in a beautiful harmony.

The benefits I reaped from Pilates have been transformative - from improved sleep and posture to reduced discomfort associated with playing my instruments, and a noticeable boost in mental clarity. This profound personal transformation inspired me to become certified through the prestigious Equinox Pilates Training Institute, adopting a classical Pilates approach, yet adding my unique personal touch.

My Pilates practice is a reflection of my musical roots. Each session is a delicate balance between strength-building and resilience, punctuated with breath work and meditation. This combination ensures a mindful connection between body and spirit, promoting a loving relationship with one's body. My approach is far from the "no pain, no gain" mantra. Instead, I cater to each client's unique needs, delivering a workout experience that resonates perfectly with their individual rhythm.

Join me for a Pilates session, where each movement is choreographed like a piece of music, composed specifically for your wellbeing.
